for directions prior to your trip!

Due to an accident on Geigel Hill Rd in 2002, a bridge was closed by PennDOT.  These are alternate directions to the campground.

These directions are from Rt. 611; if traveling North, you will turn Right off 611, traveling South, you will turn left.

The Green route:

This route is appropriate for all sized camping units - especially for units over 20 ft. in length.

From Rt. 611, turn off onto Marienstein Rd. heading towards Revere.

- there is no sign for this road, but look for the ‘Top of the Mall Deli’    

   and a blue camping sign for Colonial Woods Campground and

   Ringing Rocks Campground...

Merge right onto Beaver Run Rd.  Follow for 1.1 miles

Merge left onto Byers Rd.  Follow for .8 miles.

- You may see a sign for a 5 ton bridge...ignore it.  When you get to the

    bridge, you will see the correct sign: 15 tons.  The ‘1’ was removed

    from the 1st sign to discourage truck traffic...

Turn right onto Cafferty Rd.  Follow for .7 mi.

At the stop sign, turn Right onto Geigel Hill Rd., and follow for 1/2 mile.

   -> Do NOT turn onto the first Clay Ridge Rd!

       Instead, watch for a Beaver Valley campground sign on the right.

Turn Right onto Beaver Run Rd. & follow a short distance to Clay Ridge Rd.  Turn Left onto Clay Ridge.  The Campground is the first driveway on the right.

The Red Route:

This route is appropriate for Cars, SUV’s, Trucks and small camping units such as Pop-ups, and travel trailers under 20ft. 

These directions are from the Blue & White campground signs on Rt. 611.

Turn off 611 to Tohickon Valley Rd. 

Follow this for a short distance to Durham Rd. - turn right (stop sign).

Follow Durham Rd to Headquarters Rd. - turn left.  Follow for 3.5 mi.

to Cafferty Rd.  Turn left and follow 1.2 mi.

Turn left onto Geigel Hill Rd. and follow for .6 mi.

      -> Do NOT turn onto the first Clay Ridge Rd!

       Instead, watch for a Beaver Valley campground sign on the right.

Turn Right onto Beaver Run Rd. & follow a short distance to Clay Ridge Rd.  Turn Left onto Clay Ridge.  The Campground is the first driveway on the right.
